Industrial Visit – Amul, Faridabad

Department of Management Studies organised an industrial visit to AMUL’s Banas Dairy Unit located in Faridabad (Haryana) on 22nd September 2023 for MBA and BBA students.
The Amul plant representative provided an extensive overview of the products produced, production capacity, quality control procedures, raw material acquisition, distribution of final products, manufacturing methodologies, automated packaging systems, secure procurement practices, and the diverse range of items manufactured.
Students were also informed about Amul’s adept utilization of efficient Supply Chain Management practices, which contribute to its standing as a leading milk producer and distributor not only within India but also across the global market. The cooperative employs advanced software solutions to maintain seamless connectivity with its various plants established worldwide.
The students were presented with a video that depicted the journey of AMUL, detailing how it emerged as a prominent leader among cooperatives and enterprises in the dairy product processing industry.
The visit concluded with an interactive question-and-answer session during which the students enthusiastically addressed their queries, facilitating valuable knowledge exchange and industry insights.
